>>> UPDATE <<< Prayer for my Son, Ty, and us as well...
« on: January 18, 2009, 08:18:56 AM »
My middle son Ty, 22yrs. old, has had chronic migraine headaches with bad diarrhea and vomiting as a side effect for going on 3 years now. Doctors all over the nation have not been able to help him yet. He is in his 3rd attempt to stay enrolled in college. Thank GOD for the internet classes that he can take at home! This condition has nearly disabled him completely. PLEASE remember Tyler Mathis, my son.

God bless,
dave

Sorry to hear of Ty's illness, sure is tough on a parent to watch your kid suffer. We'll add him and your family to our prayer list.

UPDATE! As you can see, this post was started some 3 years ago... well, Ty still has his up and down days, but after 5 years of trying, he finally has been granted disability. This is not the best solution, nor does he really want to be on this long term, but is has raised his spirits to know he has something that will enable him to continue to go to the Doctors.

He is trying to get into Mayo clinic or some other place to be admitted to 2-4 weeks of care in hopes of finding something that will work for him and get some relief.

THANKS to anyone who has prayed for Ty, AND US!

Dave

Prayers up. Our youngest son, Joshua, now 28, has suffered with migrains too for several years. But it seems they have been much less frequent in the last several months than before. Another couple's young son had to repeat a highschool grade because his frequent migranes caused him to miss too much school. I've heard that blood pressure meds often relieve such headaches, but discuss this with your family physician before administering.

Best wishes,

my daughter has had them since 4th grade.  she can't eat out for breakfast for fear that she'll throw-up.  they really lead rough lives.   praying for Ty.

My prayer from VA.  My son suffers migraines.  Seems to be no relief.  But prayers are heard.  Depend on that, be sure of it, and know you have turned it over to Him.
