does marlin still make these? i wanted to buy one a few years back as they seemed like a handy carbine length .22lr, and have been unable to locate any recently. i live in a cave and havent kept up with much with regards to what is available these days, but i seem to remember seeing one at a gunshow a few years back. wish i had bought it then...
TIA

Yes, I know of one model that was a carbine takedown with octagon barrel. The marlin century commemerative from 1970, had one and sold it to a friend. Had a brass plate on the stock and brass buttplate.
