Saw one on e-bay just yesterday.  I'm on the hunt for a western style holster for my 6.5" SS.

Triple K used to make them if I remember right.   Don't know if they still do or not, but might be worth a check.

thanks brett i am going to keep an eye on this one too, i was afraid i could not find a holster for this gun but now i am definitely going to add this gun to my collection. i had a friend that had a single six 9.5 when we where in high school and have fond memories of this gun, i have a mark ll 4 inch standard that i have had for years and love shooting, but squirrel hunting in the mountains of virginia is one of my all time favorite pastimes and i think a single six with a long barrel would be great for this. please bear with me i'm new to computers but would like to thank all of you on this forum, for i have already gained alot of info from the posts i have read. thanks donnie

Hawken, Did you pick up that SS with the 9.5" barrel.   I saw a used one at a gun shop today that they wanted over $700 for.  :o   These guys are way out there. They also had a blued, 6.5" SS like mine there that they wanted almost $400 for.   I payed for $250 for mine.

Donnie, you might try one of the custom holster makers like El Paso Saddlery? I think I've seen one of the Ruger flap holsters over on Ruger.com in the past but, not sure. Memory is like other parts of my anatomy.

well i just wanted to thank you all for all of your responses, i haven't been on here much of late. as it turns out while i've been debating on whether or not to buy the 9.5 inch single six my brother in law called and wanted to know if i wanted to buy a single six with a 6.5 inch barrel and it is stainless steel so after all of my drooling over a new single six it looks like i'm going to buy a used one with a little less tube.

More often than not plans change after questions are asked here on the board for one reason or another, so that's common enough to be pretty much expected.   What's even more common though is all the folks who ask questions, and then don't have the decency to come back and acknowledge replies to their questions.   So thank you for doing that.

Hawken, Good luck with your new SS/SS, we expect to hear a full report on  after you have a chance to shoot it.  I think you will find the 6.5" SS friendlier to carry and to shoot.  Those uber long barrels are nice for precision work from a bench and/or a solid rest but can be a real pain in the field.

1st post fng,

I know this is a older thread, but just purchesed and SS Single Six w/ a 5 1/2 brl. and was look'n for something to keep in. Ran across this on line and for some odd reason it appeals to me. Seems he can make something to fit the longer tubes if asked. Might appeal to others also.
