Help with bedding Fajan stock

Hey guys i have a mauser 98 made in belgum. it has a 26 in douglass med .heavy barrel with timney trigger.i have tried to bed this rifle and the oils in the rifle stock want let the bedding take .any suggestions.also its a 25-06 and i have a friend who says mauser actions want take the 25-06 pressure.Any truth to that? thanks

Clean your bedding area down to bare wood. Use acetone to dissolve the oils.

That will work.!  or you can strip to bare wood, wet the area & apply heat, wipe the oil off as is comes out of the wood..

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but a good Belguim 98 should be more than adequate for the 25-06.

thanks guys. my dad has a A3 03 1943 Smih Corona 30-06 with surta the same action.
