Saw one up close finally. Holy moly these are nice. What is the going rate for these in excellent condition?  Case colored/blued. 4 5/8".

Haven't seen many USFA guns in my area (Utah). Rodeo's are going for $525-$550. Cowboys are the next step up in finish are a round $700. I did see one of the new 12 shot guns in high polished Nickel or stainless I couldn't tell with 7 1/2" barrel for close to $1200. Anyone who hasn't handled one of the USFA guns is missing out. The guns are hand fit. Perfect match up of grip frame and all other parts. Complete and solid lockup of the cylinder with no endshake at all. Much higher quality than any of the other manufactures except Freedom Arms. While not as strong as the Rugers they are much tighter guns. The sights on mine were right on from the factory and the .38 I have actually shoots tighter groups than my old Smith K-38 target does.

Hey Stuart-

     I have the .44 special 4 3/4, blue/case, with a spare 44/40 cylinder, and the case hammer.  $875.00 new, from a master dealer (Encks Gun Barn, in PA)  If you are looking for the closest thing in quality/fit/finish/accuracy to a 1st generation Colt SAA, the USFA is well worth the couple hundred over what you would spend for an Italian import.

I agree..........I've got a USFA cowboy 5 1/2" 45 Colt.  I sent it back to have presentation Walnut grips installed.............Couldn't be happier with the gun and service.

I have often thought about picking up a Rodeo and taking steel wool to all of the 'high spots' leaving the dull black in the corners and crevices.  The would give it a great '100' year old look!  I saw one done like that and it was great!  44 Man
