I haven't loaded any personally but did read an article some time back were it was done using Wolf steel cased 45 auto , they used a load that was mid range to see just how many loads they could get from the cases .
If I remember correctly they started to loose cases after 2 or 3 loadings from splits at the top of the case , and they stopped the test at 10 loadings but still had over 50% of the cases left .
Personaly I would use some case lube even when using carbide dies just as an added precaution .
I have run a few steel cases in .223 Rem into a FL Sizing die just to see what would happen , could not find ant difference between steel and brass as far as measurements go .
