There have been reports that the wood 357mag was made for a while the end of 2007(probably for Indiana), and of course those of several years ago when it was available as a complete rifle, but in between is was only available as an accessory barrel (much to everyone's dismay

) up until 2008 when it was brought back as an SB1 in the new style synthetic stock targeting the Indiana pistol chambered rifle deer hunter market.

As Marv said, they've made many special order limited production models with different stocks, my 357mag has a checkered straight grip stock on it, but I made it that way as anyone can, all H&R stocks fit all of their SSI, SB1 and SB2 frames.
