How do you remove stuck primers?
« on: January 09, 2009, 11:51:36 AM »
Can anyone tell me how to remove stuck primers? My buddy was trying to deprime some factory Remington 25.06s today and was punching a hole through the primers. They must a few years old and would not fire. He pulled the bullets and they look coroadited and the powered looked dirty. He tried to drill'em out but no luck. What could he soak'em in to soften corrision?

At this point I would just scrap the brass , if the corrosion is to the point that the primers will not punch out , there is a better than average chance that the pocket has been eaten away making them unsafe to use .

Brass is cheap compaired to a trip to the Hospital .
