It is if you are in the Army. If the gun was fully cased it would be legal in most places I believe.

Completely unloaded I don't believe it would have to be cased in Oklahoma. Unless I am sadly mistaken it can be transported for purpose whether on a cycle or a vehicle and is unconcealed. I will look it up. Trust me a LE will definitely take interest if he sees it being hauled on a bike in any manner. Federal laws for interstate transport want the gun in a locked secure case or in a trunk compartment unload seperated from the ammunition. The northern states have a maze of laws you have to deal with and in particular New Jersey and New York.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

I know here in Illinois it has to be in an enclosed case so it would not work here.

Kentucky has an open carry law so it is 100% legal here. They might ask what you'er packing and how well dose it shoot but not why are you carring it. 8)

I carry all kinds of guns in my sidecar. No problem. I am 65 now and don't ride mutch in November to March here in Tn. Unless it gets over 60F. I do use a bike or the sidecar rig to go squrrell hunting but not deer hunting. The only times I have been stopped when I had a gun was to check my CCW permit when I was careless in keeping it covered when at a reststop in Indiana 2years ago and once in Kentucky last year. If you would use a hard case like they have for an ATV for a long gun I don't think you would have a problem.

the answer depends on the law of the state you are in.   each state has different laws.   in wisconsin, no-go.

I been wanting to do this for a long time so I can take my bike up to the Hunt camp ( I do my contender but it breaks down)
Down here I'm told it will be Legal if it was locked so I'm working/thinking on a Scabbard type wege-et to put on my bike
Like in this army bike but I would want some king of foot /stirrup on my front axle so the scabbard would sit and when I tool it off the only thing permanent would be that foot
I also thought of a Hard case Bolted upright to the backrest on the seat
But that doesn't fit in my Idea of ease and looks
I have also considered a small length rifle loaded like a Roll pack on my Front Forks
