Hello. This is my first post but I've been lurking for awhile. Until last month I haven't owned and H&R rifle since the mid-90s when I had an older still 22 Hornet that I worked on for about a year and never could get to shoot like I wanted. Recently I wanted to sell a Ruger Mk II in 280 that I didn't shoot much for another 223 or 22-250. Placed it in a local online classifieds and ended up taking a 2001 H&R Limited Edition Handi (green laminate stock) in 223 and $250 on trade. Did a little research and looking and ended up buying a brand new in the box 2004 model Handi bull barrel 22-250 with hardwood laminate stock for right at $200. Wow what a nice trigger on the 22-250! Haven't shot either yet, already sent the Limited Edition receiver off for a 357, 280 and 12 gauge barrel. If my rifle makes it back from New York in good shape, I'll eventually be sending the NU receiver in for another barrel or two. The 223 barrel fits the 22-250 receiver correctly so hopefully all barrels will be interchangeable. I've got two young girls that have shown an interest in learning to shoot so I think I should have enough calibers to work them up to deer hunting, just need to get a rimfire model now. I
