NEED INFO! Bausch&Lomb bases on NEF?

Trying to find out if there is a version of the old Bausch & Lomb bases (adjustable) that will fit on the SB2?  I see they used to make them for the older H&Rs (300,301,330,370,317,360) but I can't find anything saying you can get them to fit on a handi.  Anybody know what specs the SB2 holes / barrel contour matches up with?  Is there some other gun out there who bases would match a new NEF?

Yes sir, I know.  What I haven't been able to figure out is if any of those bases would be compatible with some other gun (an older one) out there.  I'm trying to figure out which B&L base (which are not made for NEF but were made for lots of other older guns) might be able to fit on an SB2 so I can use a B&L scope.  I don't know that it will work, maybe I'll have to have my barrels redrilled/tapped, but it seems like it should be simple enough to find an older model of gun that has the same drilling/hole configuration so their one piece mounts line up.

You should simply forget about the B&L mount, if the rifle has any kind of recoil. I have a 300Win Mag that came with a B&L scope and mount. That scope would consistently jump off the mount. I installed
a much heavier plunger spring, the scope would still move under recoil.

On a low recoiling rifle the mount and scope may hold up Okay. I sold the scope and mount. If you can find a Buehler Micro Dial mount that would be the very best. This base could be shimmed to suit. I had a B&L 3-9 Balvar on a Buehler Micro Dial mount on a 7mmMag which never gave any trouble. At the time this was a top of the line system and very expensive.
