Another Dahlgren Boat Howitzer

Here's a few pictures my latest project.  It rained today so I'll paint it early next week and post those pics.

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

I forgot the powder can!  :o  Oh well.  The wheels are 20" diameter, barrel 27" long x 1.75" bore and the rear wheel is 6-1/4" diameter.

Rocklock,   I will build your project using the same T.L.C. that built this one. I'll post pics of yours too.

 While this is not my project, I've been waiting to see this Boat Howitzer come to life. I must say, it's been worth the wait. You did a fine job!!!! Now, I can't wait to see her bark!  ;D

I too have been waiting patiently for my English Howie, and yes its always worth the wait.  ;D Its mandatory that the new owner of this boat Howitzer post plenty of pictures and Videos of her spitting smoke and fire.
