PowerBelts w/100 gr of Triple 7 is the second most accurate load for my Blued 209x50. The most accurate has been the Barnes X-Pander MZs. Sean

I use sabots/bullets, but this year I am going with power belts.  My buddy uses them . . . they shoot great and load easier.

The Powerbelts shoot as good out of my barrel as the Hornadys I normally use.  They do load much easier.  Only reason I do not use them is because of cost.  I shoot enough that I must consider the cost.

Well they shoot great!!! It only took a few shots(3) to get them near the bull. I ended up shooting 16 x's before leaving(just to see how many i could shoot without cleaning) or cleaning the barrel. Now im going to go back with a clean barrel and dial it in more precise this time.Had several touching at 50 yrds so im pleased for now.   :-)

Sounds great!  I am going to try shooting sabots and then going right to the  powerbelts to see what the difference is in point of impact.  Of course that means that I will have to take my 7M-08 barrel off and that is a bummer cuz it is the greatest. :gun4:

Longwinters, I tried the T/C shockwave sabots also. They shot a little lower(2.5in) than the powerbelts.I had a terrible time trying to load the shockwaves after the 3rd shot.

TNSCOOTER, I would have the same problem when I used Pyrodex.  AFter I went to clean shot . . . no more problems.  I can shoot all day now and no problems.

It seems like more and more people are talking highly about the clean shot.
If im not mistaken you can get them in pellets also.
Does the clean shot burn as good as the pyrodex? Hotter? What makes it "Clean Shot" , less Sulpher?
I might have to try them sometime.
