Which of your handi's is your favorite?  Caliber, stock....   whatever makes up your favorite handi.  Just curious.

Plain jane .357 NEF handie. 22" .45-70 close second.

If your just shooting paper or bustin dirt clods out to 100 yards or so get a .357 leave it alone or ream to maximum and have lots of fun.

Where's Pete?  I'm sure he will pick something other than 45-70 ;D.  My 357 gets alot of dates, easy and cheap to load for, gentle on the kids shoulders.  And the old man likes playing with them too.  Course, it all depends on what I'm going to do as well.  I like the 7mm alot so I like the 280 and 7mm-08 and am waiting for Wayne to get my 7-30 waters done, (first one had a 30 caliber bore :P).  Oh, man.  Where is the tylenol, now my head hurts from trying to choose. :-\   DP

.357 and .45-70 equally.  They do the work around here.  After them, my Topper/Pardner 22 inch full choke .410.

It is a hard decision...I definitely like the checkered cinnamon lams. I have them on both frames and fore ends for each of my barrels. Right now my favorite barrel is the 357 Max. Tomorrow, who knows, but the 357 Max is accurate and fun. My Avatar is a 223 Ultra varmint.

I like these straight wall cases best - 357 max and 45-70

Also good -  223 and 44mag

I have developed quite the disdain for greatly bottlenecked cases -  243 and 25-06

I have 4 45-70's and 2 450's. The 450 's are so accurate out of the box that they have to be my #1 choice. The 45LC can be as much fun as the 357 for plinking loads.

I like the rimmed cases in the Handi.  My favorite is my .30/30 on its SB2 frame decked out with pallet wood stocks that have been cut to a straight "English" stock and walnut stained.

mine are the .280 Ultra with the checkered laminate stocks, and the Buffalo Classic with the case hardened receiver and walnut checkered stock. both are beautiful and accurate guns.

If it has to be a Handi it would be the 45-70

If I could just have one rifle for everything it would be a 35 Whelen

Hands down my 357Maxi.

Currently, she wears a cinn brown, thumb-hole laminated stock and matching forend, a 2x7x32 Leupold VXII mounted in Leupold PRW rings sitting on a factory ultra base. She shoots 180 SSP's, 170GD's and 180 Speers into tight little groups. Lays whitetails FLAT. Its light to carry and light on the shoulder. She even likes her little brothers, the 357mag and 38spl as well!!  Whats not to love? ::)

My favorite deer rifle is my custom 257 Roberts. I simply love that rifle. I have many others but the Handi is special. Even with the odd
hick ups it is hard to beat. Besides it shoots in the same 1/2" hole every time. The 257 Roberts cartridge is an unbeatable round when it comes to take deer out to 300 or even more if you are brave.

I would have to say that my .280 is my favorite. It wears a BSA 4-12 x50 with illuminated reticle......standard black synthetic stock. Lots of bang-flops! lol                 Mike Bare

Mine's a 22-250, the only one I've got for now. And it's a " BLAST " to shoot. Plan on getting a 17HMR, and probably a 308 in the near future, you can never have too many.

12 guage. Given the right loads and a competant shooter it will take any American game from quail to moose.

Rifle would have to be 45-70 just because.

My new 45-70 SS Ultra hunter with thumbhole stock, loaded with Hornady 45-70 GOVT 325 gr FTX LEVERevolution, just drop one in and go.   I have a new Browning 7mm08 and my trusty Remington 700BDL 30-06 just sitting and gathering dust.  I don't like looking for my deer.  It's just plain fun shooting it!  Since I got it, and used it, I believe it would have to be my number one choice if I could only have one rifle.
