The one below isn't the hunter model, but may give you an idea.

The sight I have used for 10+ years with no problem is a millet sp1. A lot of reports of the newwer cheap dot scopes is they can only handle rimfire recoil. I don't know, never owned one. Try to get the smallest dot you can, so less target is covered. The sp1 is 3 mil.
As for red dots, I currently have a vector strikeforce on an ar 15 and it does well out to 400 yards on silohets. So in other words the sights are more accurate than the shooter. As a general rule since there usually isn't any or much maqnification they are extremely clear.
One more thing battery life. On the sp1 I left it on for a week one time and it still worked. I left it on for a few months and the battery was shot. In the 10 or 12 years I'm on the second battery, which isn't bad. The new vortex says it's good for 2000 hours on high.
