Rechambering to 220 swift
« on: October 22, 2008, 06:37:52 AM »
Would this be possible, or is it too much cartridge? I have always wanted a Swift, and have been contemplating a rechamber lately, but am unsure if it would work. I have read about the 225 win and 219 wasp rechambers, and those would be my next choices, but I like the swift better. So what do you guys think? If it can handle the 22-250, the swift should be ok too, right? Thanks for the help, Billy

It's been discussed before, there's at least one person with a 220 Swift Handi, Greg had one done from a .223 by Wayne at Oregunsmithing, he's my smith too!!  ;)

There's a current discussion on 220 Swift twist rate with heavier bullets in the small bore forum.
