338 RUM
« on: October 18, 2008, 04:05:19 AM »
Well I got my 338 RUM sighted in with those Nosler Accubond 225gr bullets.

Hope to go on a hunt down in Florida where I'll be able to use them.

Has anybody else hunted down there?

My guess is that the .338 RUM will kill all the fallow you hit well with great authority.

All these animals are on a private farm. And you pay to hunt on it.

The only thing I could see the use of the 338 Rum in Florida is a water buffalo.

The RUM cartridges were mainly developed for long range shooting. I never understood why people keep wanting to use long range rifles for short range game.

Boar and fallow deer can be taken with a little old 243 Winchester.
