Wind Direction - Deflection Chart ... Neat
« on: October 14, 2008, 03:40:41 PM »
For all you folks that shoot beyond the 200 yard mark ...

12 and 6 o'clock - No Adjustment
Example:
A wind speed of 20 mpg at the 3 or 9 position will have an effect of about 18 mph at the 2 -4 - 8 and 10 position.  These will have a crosswind component of 86%.  The same 20 mph wind at 1 - 5 - 7 and 11 o'clock positions will have a 10 mph component ... half the effect with a cross wind component of 50%
