.45 Colt barrel
« on: October 07, 2008, 11:08:30 AM »
I was just wondering if the .45 Colt accessory barrel is the same as on the Buffalo Classic Carbine, sights and all. I see the accessory barrel is listed as 22" while the BC is listed as 20" but I know those "lists" are not always up to date and accurate in all respects. I assume they are drilled for scope mounts.

Yes, the 45LC is the same barrel as the BC Carbine 20", the 22" is a typo. It has the same sights that are dovetail mounted front and rear and it's also drilled and tapped as are all of their current production rifle barrels.  ;)

Quickdtoo,

How are you liking you 45 Colt re-chambered to 460 S&W?  Talk on the street is that the handguns are not holding up well, with many of the same problems faced by the 357 Maximum.  Is it destined to find a home in rifles too?

It hasn't worked well as far as accuracy so far unless 3" 100yd groups is acceptable which isn't for me, but I've only used one bullet and powder, the 250gr SST ML bullet and H110, next up is Lil'gun w/250gr SST, then 240gr XTP mag. No problems with the rifle itself tho  with max loads.   ;)

Thanks Tim, I'm thinking I may have to try one.

Dunno, someday I might try them and Casull in it just for fun. ;)  My range time is limited to Wednesdays only, 6 months a year, expensive and is located 15 miles away from home, so it's not exactly convenient either.  :-\
