Help I'm a newbie to Handi

Traded for SB2 243,Allways wanted to get  into the single shot madness but this one is testing me.
Has a new burrell 3x9 made sure everything was tight and level but having trouble getting sighted in.
Started with some quality bal-tip reloads got nowhere.After rechecking everything went to range with some basic remington coreloks things were good at 40-50 yards but went south at 100yards.I did try another scope when I had first troubles. I'm not new to shooting my bolt actions are driving nails.

Help.

Any ideas  woud be appreciated.

Hey there hunter dan!

First, did you make sure the scope base is tight w/ just a dab of locktite on the screws?
Also check the HELP! sticky and the FAQ sticky.  The info there is invaluable to handi shooters.

Check that out and try some of the tricks and tips.  If none of those help try some of our resident guru's and they will be more than happy to help!

It's there for you!  ;)  Try heavier or lighter bullets, some 243s shoot 85gr and lighter best, others seem to like 90gr and heavier. If it's a 20" Superlight, keep the barrel cool, they heat up fast.
