Floating the Barrel

I had a box of various size O-rings & I found 1 that fit perfectly around the forearm lug. It's about 1/16th" thick. After I put the forearm back on the space between the barrel & forearm allows a sheet of paper folded 3 times to slide completely under the barrel. Does this seem correct?

I did the same thing and I can get my insurance card underneath the barrel (its a little thinner than a credit card). I have a CZ527 in a 204 Ruger with a mannlicher stock, its a floating barrel also (from the factory) and its about the same. I think your good.
