Reloading
« on: September 22, 2008, 06:06:06 PM »
Hello again I'm going to bother. My question now is the following, between 416 Rigby and 458 Rigby Lott, what one is easier to reload?, Which of them has more components on the market-pods, shells and cheaper?

Thank you.

Oscar.

Oscar,

If you are referring to the .458 Lott, the cost , and availability of brass will be much better than any of the Rigby chamberings.  Rigby brass, in .416 or .450 is hard to come by, and quite pricey.  Check it out, and you will agree!

Rigby cases usually go for $1.30-$1.50 a piece.  The .458 lott cases are usually $0.85-$1.00 a piece.

As for bullets, the .458 caliber is much more common and less expensive I would say, mostly due to the .45-70.

Thanks for the answers, I think that little by little I'm convincing myself that I bought the rifle will be charber for  powerful 458 Lott. I have to do to recharge a workshop (the State imposes it well) and then apply for a permit. After the purchase is useful recharge, so after buying the rifle will continue projecting jejeje.

Hey Oscar!
I think what everyone has said is true for here in the US but it got me thinking.  Is it possiblr the Rigby stuff is cheaper over there?  Just curious since the Lott would be my choice.

No, if you're asking me if the caliber 416 Rigby in Spain is cheaper, I say no, although the 458 Lott is also not cheap. Each cartridge 458. leaves for about 6-7 euros ($ 8.7  -$10.23) and that each cartridge because the box is a kidney jejeje. I think like you, a 458 Lott will be my choice.

Hello Oscar, I would say sure the Lott is easer to reload. And the brass is cheaper.
