H&R barrels have recessed target crowns, if yours has no recess, they must have missed the crowning operation, or someone has chopped the barrel off if it's a second hand rifle. In any event, if it looks good, shoot it first, you can always take whatcha need to the range to touch it up if it doesn't shoot well, but it likely will need to be shot some, to quite a bit to get the best accuracy unless you lap the bore before you shoot it which would be wise if you have limited range time, lapping the bore is covered in the FAQs.
