308 survivor wooooooooos

 I went to thread and cut back my 308 suvivor barrel today and put between two spendles and wooooooo it was out of center bad!  BAD  I had to taper it down to true it up.  Now I have to refinish the barrel. ERRRRR   Good thing is Im one step closer to supressor goodness. ;D

Just found out I may have a trade for a acog  ;)   OMG Ill have a 900 dollars scope and 600 dollar supressor on a 200 dollar H&R  does this make me a redneck??

Sounds like you are doing a really cool project. Hope it shoots real well for you. Pics and a range report would be great.

I have re-chambered and re-crowned quite a few H&R barrels and have never found one that has the bore in the center.  Larry

Thats good to know I guess  ;) Im glad it was just not mine.  Kind of kills my hopes of a 7.62x39 barrel to thread and us the can on.  Time I trued it up and cut the threads there would not be much barrel left.

I never really thought about that kind of setup for my survivor, but that would be an great way to have a surpressed rifle... I'd like to put a 4x ACOG on one if I were going that route.

 ;D I have a acog coming for it!   Im doing it this way and not a bolt action so I can break it all down and put it in a double pistol case. I have a briefcase Im hoping it will all fit in .

I got the 4x30 acog tt-33-8 I think was the part number.
