not to be a wise guy but it appears you have a H&R .22 Mag made in 2007, at least the frame was. What else is there you would like to know?....<><....:)

If or not this is a heavy barrel... It is not a straight walled barrel ..Is there a differance between term's like "heavy barrrel" Bull barrel..an such. What I bought was supposed to have been a " heavy barrel" I just didnt expect any taper to the muzzle on it.. I sure I will be happy with it Amd not questioning the sale. When I look on the website... H&R they list it as a varmint..But the picture there show's a barrel without a taper.. But that might be larger caliber.. Just checking thing's out. I cant wait to get it home and to the range. Thanks Drop

If you have a micrometer measure the thickness of the barrel and get back to us. There is a difference between a heavy barrel and a bull barrel. IIRC many Ultras were desrcibed as heavy barrel yet they were not bull barrels....<><....:)

The 2007 H&R catalog lists the 22WMR SS1-822 Ultra Varmint as having a bull barrel.

I have the WMR varmint, and it is what we call a "heavy taper," not a "bull."  "Bull" usually refers to a diameter that doesn't reduce as it reaches the muzzle.  This one does.

These used to be listed with two centerfire laminate stocked guns in the "varmint" section of the catalog.

I also have one of those .22 WMR heavy but not bull barrels. It is a good shooter. There were quite a few variants that came out of the old H&R/NEF factory. Ah, the good old days!!....<><....:)

good advice!! Just over a year or so ago I built a new gunlocker in the cellar which I thought would be big enough to last me forever. No such luck, it seems if you get more room it somehow fills up. I have to either sell some "stuff" or build an addittion to my gunlocker. I may have to sell some "stuff" for everything to fit properly....<><....:(  ;D
