Trigger job causing POI change?
« on: September 16, 2008, 02:18:12 PM »
So i decided to do a little trigger work in preparation for the postal match.  Everything went well and i lightened the trigger a bit and it feels a little more crisp.  I went out and shot it today and it was shooting to the left about 2 inches.  Could the trigger job do that since i did remove the latch and transfer bar assembly?

H&R rifles are very heavy.  If you are right handed, you were probably pulling off to the right when you pulled the trigger before.
After the trigger job, now you don't pull to the right as bad so you corrected the hard trigger problem. Now readjust the scope to compensate.  I ran into the same problem, with mine. Went from a 5+ pull to 20oz.

I didn't go from 5lbs to 20oz, but from 5lbs to about 3.5lbs.  But I can see that it would do it.  Vertically its still the same.
