243 Bullet to twist rate?

OK I know that this has probably been asked several times. But I can't find it.
I have a Rem. Predator In 243 win . it has a 22" barrel with a 1-9 1/8" twist rate.
Will this twist rate be to fast for the 60 to 75gr Bullets @ near max loads?
Or will I have to stay with the 85 to 100gr range bullets.
I'd like to find a light bullet for whistlepigs and coyotes. and a heavier bullet for Deer and Maybe a Hog.
Every Rifle is differant and likes something differant. Just thought maybe someone could give me a place to start.

Just my 2 cents:
How about find a bullet that shoots good say 75 ,80.85,87 grain in your gun and stick to the most accurate
one that way you don't have diferant inpacts etc just one good load for all?
I have read some place about the 70gr tnt hp by speer shotwith a 6mm-284 with that twist was ok, but others I am not sure. I never tried any smaller in mine I am working from 87- to 105 gr bullets with mine

The twist is not too fast. I bought a .243 the first year of introduction of the M700 - I think 1962. It had a 1-9 twist and shot the 75 grain HP very well. The only bullet that would not shoot well was the Sierra 85 grain HPBT. My rifle did not like boat tail bullets. I eventually shot the barrel out after a few thousand rounds and had Bill Wiseman rebarrel it to a 7mm-08 with a 1-9 twist. It will shoot 1/2 inch and less at 100 yds.

As stated before 1-9 1/8 is not too fast. My model 700 shoots 55gr balistic-tips OK but it really likes 70 grain match-kings. This is my favorite bullet for groundhogs,turkey and just target shooting. And it shoots a 100gr speer grandslam to the same POI. which is a great big game bullet that has varmint grade accuracy in my gun. These 2 bullets are the only ones I now use because they do everything a 243 should be asked to do, and I don't have to adjust my scope to get the job done.

Good grief just shoot it! It is good for 55 to 115 grains. Count yourself lucky you diddn't buy a CZ, awful with anything over 90gr.

I have a tang safety Ruger M77 in .243. I have a 70 grain load for varmint hunting and a 100 grain Nosler Partition for Deer. The POI of both loads is virtually the same so I can go from one load to the other without resighting the scope.

Berger recommends a 13 or 14 twist for their bullet in this weight range. My guess is that they will still shoot reasonable well. Spinning them that fast might cause them to vaporize, but I doubt it at .243 velocities. They will however be exceptionally explosive when they hit. The only way to know for sure is to try they.
