Lawton has some serious gang and crime problems.  It is starting to spread out into the county.
We get to the Wildlife Refuge pretty often.  We drive through the Refuge to get to Meers for a Meersburger now and then.

Stillwater, Payne Co.  but grew up outside of Stuart which is west of McAlester about 20 miles in Pittsburg Co.

Ada Ok on the South edge of city limits. I have to watch for deer after dark here in the city limits.

fourbee...my family is all from heavener and the surrounding area. my grandparents are buried in rich mountain now. i went back to heavener lst year and was deeply depressed at how it's now a 'ghost town' for all practical purposes.

Hey danza:
   Beautiful country around Heavener.   Guess the only business really going there is the 'Chicken processing Plant', of which many of the employees are from Mexico.   From what I hear, many are returning to Mexico.     Stigler, on the otherhand, which is about the same distance west of me, is booming.   They've added a new bank, a new Wal-Mart, and a McDonald's, just lately.
