Release trigger for K80?

I need some help. After several seasons of shooting AAA-AA skeet I have developed a flinch. What will a release trigger cost for a K80? Has anyone had any success in dealing with flinch? I am going to have my eyes checked, and am thinking of taking a long break, but I need to solve this some how. Shotgunner

No clue on cost. Release triggers help some folks and don't for others. We have one guy at our club using one but from discussions with him he's not real sure it helped him but he is still using it. He also still flinches.

When I got the flinches really really bad I stopped for a few years and then began again. Now I mostly shoot the .410 and 28 gauge I'm a skeet not trap shooter. I gave up 12 gauge altogether as my shoulder just can't take the punishment and trying makes me flinch way too much. I still flinch just not as often and not quite as badly.

Once you get the flinches really badly I don't think you'll ever lose them. I don't know anyone personally who has managed it.

                        I would suggest Allem's in PA. It will cost  several hundred for double realease triggers but there are one of the best. The release trigger helped me out.

I have release triggers on both my Trap gun, and my Sporting gun,,,,Both K-80s.   Allem in PA. did both.   He guarantees his release triggers for life and is the recognized expert in this area.   He now has two versions.  The original was priced at $295 per barrel.  He has a new version that uses roller bearings, and by changing he bearing size, you can change the pull weight to set the trigger.   This one was priced at $450 for the first barrel, and $395 for the second.  I have one version on one K-80, and the other version of the other.  I slightly prefer the new version especially for sporting clays or doubles, it has a little smoother feel.   If you have a flinch, go with a double release right from the start.  Don't even think about starting with a release/pull

You can also send your gun to Krieghoff in Ottsville, PA.  According to their 2008 price sheet, they are $595 for a single release, and $995 for a double release.

And absolutely, it fixed my flinch, and made shooting a whole lot more enjoyable.   I still have some misses, by I don't feel like throwing the gun afterwards.   Nothing more frustrating than a flinch.

I guess I got mine at the right time.  I just checked Allem's website, his standard release trigger for K-80s is up to $400 per barrel, and the roller release trigger is $495 per barrel.
