Ruger Vaquero
« on: August 16, 2008, 05:22:18 AM »
Found something at a local gun shop yesterday and had to have it.  A Special Edition Vaquero with no engraving on the barrel and the bluing is so dark it looks like black.  After I got home I did a search and found it on Davidson's Gallery of guns.    It has engraving on the frame under the cylinder, one side has Ruger New Vaquero with the caliber and the other side has the serial number.  Great looking gun.  The number to look for on the site is 5117 for 5 1/2" barrel and there is another listed with a different length under that I think.
I'll try to post a picture later.

Here is the other side.  What looks like case hardening is either a finger print or reflection.
