The top one is 110g FMJ with 50g of IMR4064 shot at 100yards without the forearm.
The second image is the 180g Winchester pp with 51g of W760 shot at 100yards without the forearm.
I have some work to do now on that forearm.

I must have lost something somewhere....perhaps a related previous post.  Both groups were shot without the forearm.  What's the forarm got to do with it?  My '06 Handi shoots 180s better than any of the lighter bullets, so that's what I feed it.  Must be the better BC.
Keep both eyes open and make the first shot good.

Read #5 in the Handi Basics 101, it's also in the FAQs.  ;)

I guess it does not shoot as well with the fore arm, how bad is it?

The groups fired without the forearm, what do they tell you. The first one, the shots are all over the place and the second one has horizontal stringing. Neither one is any good. If the rifle does not shoot with the forearm on then you should go through the accurizing program I have laid out in detail in the FAQ's.

Checking the rifle without the forearm is a waste of time and ammo, since the rifle is never used in that mode. As in the above groups it is totally inconclusive.
Same as checking a rifle on the bench with support under the hinge pin, nobody ever shoots like that in the field.

Now the groups by themselves may not tell you much BUT if the rifle is shooting up and to the left 4" with the forarm on and shooting to point of aim with out it , that tells me that the forarm is putting pressure on the barrel .

Granted the 2 groups may not make it in a 1000 yard match but both are more than enough for MOD ( Min. of Deer .

The groups with the forearm on were a consistent 1.5-2" There were always two closer together and then a flyer.
I decided to try it without the forearm on to see if it made any difference and it realy did as you can see.
i am going to look at the FAQ section and see about putting in the o ring for the tightening screw on the forearm and see if that will give me consistency.
