Glad to read your range report. I have a 760 carbine in '06 and I still shoot the full power loads. Thinking down the road to when the recoil might a little more than I care to handle it sounds like the light loads wiill be the answer. They're supposed to be effective out to 200 yds. It's funny how all the managed loads have roughly the same ballistics. the .308, .30-06, and .270 all shoot about the same. I wonder how they perform on whitetails, with the proper bullet placement, at typical Whitetial distances?
