Need to get rid of the Hogue grips on my Stealth Hunter
« on: July 09, 2008, 06:37:27 AM »
Any ideas on what I should get.  I have a 629 Stealth Hunter and just don't like the feel of the factory Hogue grips that came with the SH.  I have an avg size hand and have looked at Midway to see what they have.  Could someone give me some advice on either who to contact or what they are currently using on their 44 mags.  As always, many thanks in advance.

Best,

Mark

I read an article in one of my recent shooting rags....may have been Shooting Times, about a grip called the "Jordan Trooper". A poster here called "Broom Rider" uses them on all her Smith's and I believe she loves 'em. I don't think they are the "pretty" grips, but from what the article stated, they are the absolute best recoil absorbing grips he had ever put on a revolver. Now, that's a heck of a statement to make about a grip. Here is the web site. http://www.herrett-stocks.com/album.htm
