Damage to Hi-Point carbines by ATI stocks. Says who?
« on: July 09, 2008, 06:33:58 AM »
Dear Guys,

I don't own a Hi-Point Carbine, but I like to keep abreast of things.   I note that in a Winkopedia definition (whoever writes those), and in a post below, the following statement is made, without citation, attribution or references:  Hi-Point is considering altering its lifetime warranty on the carbines because of the large number of carbines being returned for repairs to damage caused by the ATI replacement stocks.

OK.  Does anybody have a Hi-Point carbine that has been damaged by use of an ATI stock, and under what circumstances?

What is the factual basis for these comments?

Has the company issued any press release?  Is this on their website?

   Best Regards,

   Mannyrock

i have a carbine without the ati stock from what ive heard on the hipoint forum is that the ati stock doesnt support the bolt in the same way that the factory stock does i think if you send your carbine back with the ati stock it comes back with the factory stock but thats just what i heard
common sense is slowly becoming uncommon

hey mannyrock, i had a friend that bought a ati stock ,he fooled with it a while it never jammed before he put the stock on, after he  did  it jammed several times in the next couple hundo rounds,  most were failure to feed right problems ,  replaced the  ati back to factory and didnt FTF again?? he  called Hipoint they told him that the ati werent fitted right and they recommended not using them because  they could damage your gun?  and they will take off the ati because most of the problems sent in to them is because of the stocks?
