I've had four shoulder surgeries and can't be dragging a deer up the steep hills I hunt anymore. I was trying to find a Kapston winch for my reciever hitch but I found a new way today. I was in the Cabelas catalog and found an ATV winch for $60. Weld a plate on a 11/2 square stock and the problem is solved. I can either leave the wire cable on it and use it in conjunction with rope or remove the cable and wind the rope on it like a kapstan winch! If I use wing nuts I can turn the winch side ways so I can pull from the either side of the truck instead of the back. Add a round reciever before the winch and you could buid a swing davit to lift the animal into the truck! I'm a real fart smeller.... I mean smart feller!
