I am curious as what you guys think is a fair going price for a good Illinois bow hunting lease

I think before we can answer that the Illinois residents here must spend an evaluation season or two there. ;)

Seriously I don't know, I've seen someone in Georgia that wanted $1000 an acre and he only had three acres. ???

I personally thought that was not enough land for one and pretty expensive, but others on that site said it was decent.

I do know someone that leases land in Joe Davies county. I'll try to get ahold of him.

Too much, hunting should be for all to enjoy? If we prevent youth from enjoying our sport, it will die? Just because you can afford a new shotgun or bow, does that make anyone a good hunter? Hunting has become too comercialized, recently!

I agree with your comments about the commercialization of hunting. I wish it was still like the old days when you usually got a yes to hunt on most every door you knocked on.
But then again, I don't fault the land owner that manages his land as a business and that can include hunting.

I talkd to my friend and he said he's paying 20 bucks an acre and it's a deal.
