Range report
« on: June 23, 2008, 04:07:31 PM »
I got around to doing some more loading for the wife's handi  7-08.  The group on the left is 44gr Big game under a 145 speer boat tail and the one on the right is 44.5gr big game.  The group on the left measured 7/16" and the one on the right is 9/16" both groups shot at 100 yards.  I think this load will do.

Good load, and a great little cartridge!  Really like all 7mm's, they just plain work better than most think they will.  DP.

I need to get back in the gun room and reload all my brass and hit the range and chrono some loads, I'm hoping for 2750 to 2800fps, but will take what ever I get.

Very nice shooting sir!
Fine round also, one of my favorite, I bought a 7/08 handi youth for my grandson not long after he was born. He is still not old enough for it yet. I also like Ramshot Powders but my dealer not getting any now and I'm out.

just remember that no group is good enough

It is soo funny the wifes 223 has a real light trigger(also shoots good 1" or less) and the 08 has a real still trigger.  I'll get it fixed this winter.  Yup the wife love her handi's sometimes simple is best after all she married me!
