Pawn shop tools
« on: June 16, 2008, 06:24:29 AM »
Just a suggestion.  Might want to start checking pawn shops for tools.  Since the economy has started down the toilet, seems tools are one of the first things to end up there.  Local shops are overrun and willing to sell cheap.  Don't be afraid to make an offer.  Granted some could be stolen or otherwise acquired in a strange manner.  This is something I can't do anything about but when I can pick up new framing nailers for $80, lightly used Milwaukee porta band for $100 and so on, I can't see passing it up.

I have bought many great tools cheap at pawn shops. Sometimes as much as 1/4 of the price new. Dale

Never sell tools, when the economy picks up you need them to make money. I got a framing nailer, compressor, hose and 3 boxes of nails from a gal whose hubby ran off with another gal and was stupid enouhg to leave his tools there.
