The other day I was coming up the south deck steps and saw something small on the bottom step gleaming in the sun. (seldom see it here!).  I picked it up.  It was a tiny brass or gold widgit threaded on one end.  It bumped around the house for a day or two and then I threw it out.  The next day, after trash collection, I picked up my .410, sighted on a pigeon and saw my bead front sight was missing, it had just come unscrewed.......good morning stupid!!  I called NEF, and the nice lady said she'd put one in the mail for me.  She had my shipping address and I asked if she had the credit card number too.  She said didn't need it she was just going to drop it in the mail.  That is simply wonderful.  I thanked her and wished them all the best of luck.  I, for one, will miss those folks.

That's good customer service there. I've gotten in the habit of putting widgets I find in a junk drawer. Especially at work. A piece off a tool or forklift or something you don't know you are missing just yet and yes I learned the hard way also.

Don't feel like the lone ranger , first trip out with the Handi Reeder , I pulled the rifle out of the case and saw that the front sight was missing . Drove all the way back to the range and crawled around on my hands & knees , still no luck . 

About a weel later I went to slide another rifle into the case and it caught on something , low and behold -- you guessed it  , the front sight . Now why didn't I look there first ? 

As for H&Rs CS , not sure the big green will ever be able to come close .

Yeah, I've got a couple of cookie tins full of unknow widgets I've collected over the years, and they come in handi, no handy.  I should have tossed it in there.  If you're gonna be dumb, ya better be tough.  I've been pushing myselft to get my poop together and get things in order so I can find them, so I've been tossing junk.  I just built two new rooms in the barn, one for the horse tack and the other as a tool, gun, reloading, and shop for working on small equipment, mowers, blowers, tillers etc.  That reminds me, I need to post a question.

Stimpy, I thanked her and said "God bless you all."  My first rifle at 11 was a Rem 521T, and in MHO Big Green has done nothing but slide since then.  Six or seven years ago I traded a Model 7 for an M77 MKII and have done nothing but smile since.
