If you can afford a PC or FA then thats the way to go. You should be happy with either.

"Knock on wood" .....Never had a Ruger that had to go back.   Had a Smith that was recalled , sent it in , they sent it back with a "M" stamped near the serial number.....didn't shoot any different, don't remember what the recall was for, been 15-20 years ago.  Had a Colt Trooper MKIII that locked up on me......that was many moons ago also....it was sent in and repaired.  After 30 years of handguns , that's the only two wheel-guns that went sour.  ( recalled isn't fair, I guess )  We won't talk about the semi's, that's a different story. I've had several problems with my T/Cs over the years also.  Given a chance , I truly believe most the manufactures will take care of their problems. ( Taurus may be an exception)  I hope my luck holds out !   ;D

i can really associate with what you were going thru with your ruger. i had the same experience with my blackhawk 41 mag. it was a love hate thing. i had one hurdle after the other, and there were times i almost got rid of it, but then i got everything worked out and now it as good a shooter as my other handguns. good luck with your next purchase. dan

If anyone insists on buying a Ruger now, they should look over the gun real good.  They don't really have a Quality Control System in place now and lots of junk gets sent from the factory.  But if you have to send it back they will correct it though.

Just can't figure out why they don't fix it before it leaves the factory!!!  Was looking over a RBH 50th that had a finish that ws nothing short of disgusting.  I was realy disappointed with them.  Old Bill is really rolling over in his grave.  What a shame.    :(
