Bushnell 3200 5x15 versus Nikon Buckmaster 4.5x14 ??

How would these scopes compare for long term durability and reliability ?  I am condering one of them for a truck-varmint rifle and don't need the last drop of light gathering and brigthness , but I am more concerned with  mechanical quality such as zero-holding abilty , good tracking , and so forth   .

Sd,

I don't think you will have a problem with either one of them.  Both will work up to expectations.

As usual, I agree with Jon.

Although I own several Nikon Monarchs, I don't own any buckmasters.  However, I do own a 3200 and I love it.  I would recommend getting the 3200.

Opinions vary-- but I have had Nikon problems, but the Bushnell Elite 3200 + 4200 tubes continue to impress me.

Even if the terrific "RainGuard" holds little interest for you-- the titanium tube gives you a stronger tube over the Nikon you mentioned.

Randy,

What kind of problems did you have with your Nikons?  What models were they?  On what kind of guns did you use them?
