Little piggy with FA 500 WE
« on: May 21, 2008, 06:20:06 AM »
Here is a little piggy I killed with my FA500 WE. Ken may have killed the first one with this caliber, but this might be the biggest.

I guess this little piggy didn't go to the market, he he.

Nice shot, at what distance? Did he/she go down in the first hit?

Shot at 32 yards. A single shot high on the shoulder, he dropped in his tracks.

Yep, that's 2 to 3 times the size of my first one with that caliber, Robert. That's a good lookin' set of grips you've got on that gun ! Congratulations,
Ken

i take it that it was a domestic that had gone wild. A buddy has a pig hunting operation up here and has a huge one  that was a domestic that had gone wild. No matter what it was its sure a trophy with a handgun!!!!!!

I saw the National Geographic program on HOGZILLA. Domestic pigs turn feral faster than any other domesticated animal. Their appearance changes at a dramatic rate. Whether this is a wild pig or a domestic gone wild,it is a great trophy!

Well, okay, I can't resist. But I do want all of you to know that I'm smiling as I type this, lest you think this is "sour grapes".
About 6 months ago, I e-mailed my friend sixgunner, saying that despite living in N.C., I'd never hunted in Georgia, and was interested in hunting some hogs there...did he have any idea on places he might recommend for hogs ? His answer came quickly:   "NO!"

Now we know why!!!!

Congratulations, again, Robert.

The load is 31.0 gr H110 with a 420gr cast bullet. Don't know velocity. It was a high shoulder shot and the big guy dropped in his tracks.
