Little help here please....

My buddy cant seem to find the model # on this Smith. Ive told him where to look but he cant find it there. I wanted to double check. What do you think the frame and model is? Thanks..

Hello
It looks Like a Post War M&P which later became the model 10 in .38 Special Caliber. It has the Up swept Speed hammer design used Post War but changed in the Mid 1950's. It is a Pre-1955 Gun as it has Four side Plate screws. The diamond service grips are called Magna grips. I hope this helps, Hammerdown

thanks, yes it does. I figured it was a pre runner to the M-10 but wasnt really sure. What would be a fair price on this gun??
