Freedom Arms .22 question
« on: May 13, 2008, 06:15:01 AM »
There is an estate sale coming up in a week and the advertisement lists 30 guns. Most are stuff I'm not interested in,,, old foreign military guns, but one is a Freedom Arms .22 caliber hand gun. That is all that the ad says and you cannot go the the house and talk to the guy because the ad says the sign will not be put up until the day of the sale. So i don't even know which house it is. Therefore the gun can't be checked out until sale day. Here's my question,,, if it turns out to be a Freedom Arms single action revolver what is a cannot lose price? I was thinking if a fellow could get it for $700 maybe he would be doing ok. Once again, I have no idea of condition. Any figures would be appreciated. Thanks     RRM

It could be a 22 mini revolver worth about $150. If it is a model 97 or 83, $700 would be a steal. $1000 would be a good find depending on condition and extras. I've seen them sell for $1250 at local shops in the past. Good shooting.

Even the minis that fit the belt buckles are going for good money.  If the FA is a mini .22, I will give you $200 for it and I am cheap.  My FA .22 has 9" barrel and silhouette sights.  I paid $1950 for it new.  A full size .22 revolver for $700 is a great buy.  Do a little homework on the FA website, gunbroker, and gunsamerica.  Write a little list of the models, barrel length, and what they are going for.  At an estate sale, you will likely get an AWESOME deal because most people will not have a clue as to value of that gun.

Good luck and don't forget, even I would give you $200 for a mini............
