Not good service in Canada?
« on: May 08, 2008, 10:38:51 AM »
Hi: I emailed NEF yesterday about buying 2 x SB2 actions with multiple barrels fitted to both at the same time and also for a dealer in Canada that could handle the order. The reply came back negative. Can't fit barrels to more than one receiver even at the factory. Oh well i guess i will have to keep looking for a multi barrel wilderness survival gun elsewhere.

H&R won't fit accessory barrels for Canadians, they won't ship retail parts there either. Canadians can get firearms serviced thru the two dealers listed in the FAQs.

They will fit multiple accessory barrels to a frame for US residents tho, one member had thirteen barrels fitted on one order.

As for the fitting of no more than 1 barrel , H&R will only fit 1 barrel on any new rifle that they intend to ship to a wholesaler ( the exception was the combo rifles that they no longer make ) and a person can not order directly from the factory anyhow .

No service in Canada . Only 2 dealers so we will be buying from a different gun maker.Seems fair to me

There are two authorized H&R sources that provide service for H&R firearms in Canada.

I think I missed something along the way.  For one wilderness survival rifle, why do you need two frames fitted to the same barrels?  It sounds as if one frame fitted with x number of barrels would be fine.  The other aspect of it is, just buy the frames and barrels here and fit them yourself.  I'm new at it and have done great so far thanks to all the help here; especially my great grandfathers, Tim and Stimpy.

Two frames for 2 people but either person can use the needed barrel for whatever they need to do without having to make sure it is for the right action. I saw the combos they offered and thought it would be a good idea but didn't like the caliber ga selection
