Stevens barrel on Savage 10FP

Will a barrel off a Stevens 243 fit my Savage 10FP. What questions should I ask to ensure it would fit?

Found my own answers by surfing through old postings. Sounds like it should work. If anyone has different info, please let me know. I found a new 243 barrel from a Stevens for $25. Will either use for the 10FP or have been eyeing a 14 Classic in 7mm-08.

As you have discovered it will fit, only question would be what bolt face your 10FP has.  Larry

My 10 is a 308, thus it should fit 7mm-08?
