Any hunting around Fort Myers Florida for a handgunner

I will be there the week of July 4th and was wondering what might be available...likely pretty hot...huh?

My brother and sister both live in the area. Its going to be hot in July. Have you thought about some fishing. It may be more enjoyable being on the water than hunting in the fields.

I used to live there. Take a short drive up to Lake Okeechobee. Fish the rim canal. Best fishing hole on the planet. A canal cuts through to the Atlantic. Brackish water, you'll never know what you'll come across! Look out for the gators. They'll steal your basket if you ain't careful. The lake itself is not very deep, but it can be fun, too. The rim canal is 20 feet deep. Have fun!
