Browning B78 Sling Swivels

I have a Browning B78 with original Browning stock.  The stock is factory made with Pachmayer recessed sling bases.  I started to buy a set online and discovered that there are old and new style swivels.  Do the new swivels fit the old sockets and vice versa?

You might want to refer to the Single Shot Rifle section here.
The sticky at the top has the field manual for the B-78.

The last page has the contact info for the parts supplier who bought all of Browning's NOS, years ago.

You also might want to contact him to resolve your question, if the field manual doesn't.
