Especially you Texas guys...I just got a copy of each of Skeeter Skelton's two books, in like-new condition (no coffee stains, thumbprints, torn pages, etc.) at Half-Price Books for $5.98 each. HAH! I've been havin' some good bedtime reads ever since.

You done it!!!!!  I got Good friends for about $25 and thought I stole it, havent been able to find Hipshots anywhere.  Ill gladly double your money for you!!!!!!     PS im not even a Texas guy, Im in PA.

No deal! Once a book gets into my hands, it's lost until I'm dead! Books is the only thing I collect more than guns. Been that way since before I could read, and it's only gotten worse.

Yep. The whole world's in books, if you read 'em right! Found this on a bookmark (from amazon.com) in a George Nonte book I bought the same day:

I don't know where that comes from, but I'm willing to hazard a guess that it's from either  The Haunted Bookshop or Parnassus on Wheels. Dang! I haven't even thought of those books for 40 years.
Run a search on "Half-Price Books"... there may be one in your area. Great place to just look through once a week or so. I got my Greener's The Gun and Its Development there, for $10. Lots of others, too.

Hope yer happy, I'm in Texas and I'm green with envy. Congrats on your good find. Just to even it up some, I bought Phil Sharpe's Complete Guide to Handloading for a buck-fifty at a Goodwill Store years ago. Rob :)

That sounds good. I'm lookin' for a nice (cheap) copy of Hatcher's Notebook, myself...
I've even bought two copies (over time) of the same book...my daughter keeps borrowin' 'em.
