Hammerdown, nice looking K22. I don't do pictures, being technically challenged, but my oldest was shipped to my home town police dept. in 1935.

Don't know how many a guy needs to collect something but I bought my third one a couple of weeks ago at the gun show in Palmer, Alaska. It came with walurus ivory grips and a walnut grip adapter and a small lanyard ring.

The actions on the guns are just so smooth. Makes a guy want to sell all his newer guns and buy more pre-war models. Regards, Byron

Mine isn't the looker that Kurt's is but she was shipped the second year of production and has the two screw rear sight(not seen in the picture):



As far as collection, Brian Pettit from Alaska posts on the S&W website and a guy who goes by BDGreen over there.

Thanks SB, I know Bryan, had lunch with him in Anchorage one day last week. Don't know BDGreen. I know Bryan was a big K22 collector but has sold all of his collection to fund his recent interest in African hunting. You may know but he killed a elephant in Zimbabwe last year.

I bought his last K22 about 2 weeks ago. Regards, Byron

I saw pictures of him on GunBlast not long ago? Kind of lost track of him after he no longer posted on the S&W forum? I enjoyed his posts, honest and no BS, if you know what I mean. Do a search on BDGreen over there he's got a least one of everything and posts lots of pictures.
Do you know if Bryan has any of the S&W model 45 in shooter grade, left?

The reason they are so smooth as they were ALL hand fitted Prior to World War II. S.B. , That is a nice Pre-War example you show. Honest wear does not offend me mine just came in the condition shown. Regards, Hammerdown

No I don't know what he has left in that area. I know he sold his 50linebaugh that Bowen built for him. He has a couple of high dollar trap guns and a Shiloh sharps in 50'110 that is beautiful for sale. Also a 50BMG single shot with a lot of accessories. Regards, Byron

Do you your self live in the Anchorage area ? I once lived in Sterling, Alaska many Moons ago in my other Life, nd worked the North slope for Marathon Oil. Sterling is a Postage stamp size town of about 300 People back when I Lived there behind Roland's Chevron & Salmon Canning Factory...Right on the Moose River. It was about Fifteen miles north of Kenai, Alaska Hammerdown

No I live in Metlakatla in southeast Alaska. I have 2 daughters that live in Anchorage and one of them gave us a new grandson. We were there for the birth however he was stubborn, so I had time to visit some friends that live in the area and attend the Palmer gun show. Byron
